Gorkha Zilla Gurung Samaj UK (GZGSUK) entered onto the Register of Charities with
the Registered Charity Number 1175191 on 17 October 2017. The samaj had been
actively involved in charity events since its establishment in 2008. After the
registration onto the UK charity, GZGSUK has carried out the following main charity
events: On 23 Oct 2017 – Funds raised to support the flood victims of Nepal  one of our
executive member who went to Nepal donated to renowned charity
organisation of
Nepal, “The Rabi Lamichhane Trust”. Total amount raised - £1850.00 On 02 Nov 2017 – Funds raised to help Mrs AitimayaGurung who desperately needed to replace her kidneys. One of our member who went to Nepal, personally donated to her family member. Total amount
raised - £1016.00  On 20 Feb 2018 – Fund raised to support late Mrs JagadambiGurung’s funeral in
Hendon, London who died at age of 92. The chairman of the organisation handed
over a cheque to his son. The amount raised was - £6150.00. She was one of the
elderly frail person who lived in Sudbury Town with her daughter. She was in need
of constant care, so as a charity organisation we supported morally and financially to
her and to her daughter to comfort her living.
On 16 Apr 2018 - Fund raised to support late Mr Khusiman  Gurung’s funeral in
Hamshire  the chairman of the organisation handed over a cheque to his wife. The
amount raised - £5240.00. Late Khusiman was an elderly person who was
On 22 Jun 2018 -Funds raised to support Mr Bhimbahadur Gurung’s medical
expenses who was financially deprived in village of Gorkha District. One of our
member who was in leave donated to his family member. Total amount raised -
£1852.00
On 18 Aug 2018 – The samaj organised a charity dinner night for the membersto
raise benevolent funds for the future charitable campaigns. The benevolent fund is
mostly reserved for the members and their families in order to help those in need.
This fund shall be used to aid families with unexpected or high medical expenses,
victims of natural disasters, the unemployed, the underemployed, sponsoring the
members and their family members when participate in charity events for the good
causes, and others in similar circumstances.The amount raised - £6234.00.
On 11 Oct 2018 - Fund raised to support late Mr Yogbahadur Gurung’s funeral in
Aldershot, Hampshire & the chairman of the organisation handed over a cheque to
his son. The amount raised - £5300.00. He was one of the elderly member who
survived in government’s benefit allowances. We supported him morally & financially to comfort his living.
17 Dec 2018: Fund raised to support Master SurajGurung, 11 years old who has
been admitted to teaching hospital in Pokhara, Nepal due to Acute Flaccid Paralysis.
Since he is from a poor house, we asked our members to donate whatever they can.
Raised fund £1136 handed over to Suraj’s father by one of our member.
21 Nov 2018. Fund raised to support late Mrs Subi Gurung’s funeral and her family members who passed away on Nov 2018. She was also an elderly woman who
survived with the government’s benefit allowances. We morally and financially

supported both her and her husband. So far £5200 has been raised and handed
over to his Husband Mr Suk Bahadur Gurung.
29 Dec 2018 : LhosarCelebration at Haekinge Community Centre at Kent we managed to
raised fund from our members in total sum £11401.
15 Feb 2019 : Fund raised to support Kidney patient Mrs Santa Gurung She suffered
end stage of Renal disease desperately needed to dialysis her kidney at Teaching
Hospital Kathmandu Nepal.Handed over to Santa Gurung in Nepal through
Chairman Phadakjit  Gurung total sum of £1598.50.
Mar 2019 – Fund raised to support late Nandalal Gurung’s funeral and his family
members who passed away on 03 February 2019. He was also an Elderly man who
survived with the government’s benefit allowances’ financially supported both of
them. We Raised the total sum £5500 cheque handed over to his son.
Mar 2019_ Fund handed to Gurkha Welfare Trust on 30 March 2019 for supporting
Ex Gurkhas families cheque handed £500 to Tul Bahadur Gurung Gurkha Welfare
Trust representative,
Apr 2019 - Fund raised to support late Sita Gurung’s funeral and his family members
who passed away on 19 March 2019. We raised the total sum of £5440 cheque
handed over to his husband.
Apr 2019 : Sponsered for trail walk to Man Gurung cheque handed £200 on 20
April2019.
May 2019 : Donation contributed to Phelu Sang UK £200 cheque handed on 05 May
2019.
May 2019 : London Marathon Run sponsored to Miss Samichchya Gurung £300
cheque handed on 05 May 2019.
Jul 2019 : Donation contributed to Buddha Community Reading £100 cheque handed on 07 July 2019.
Jul 2019 : Donation for Ms Aarya  Gurung Cerebal Palsy with Seizure Disorder patient
from Nepal handed £2733 cheque through IME Aldershot on 01 July 2019.
July 2019 : Donation contributed for cancer research charity at Farnharm £500 cheque on 31 July 2019.
Sep 2019 : Donation contributed for cancer patient Mrs Ganga Gurung from Nepal £500 cheque handed to her relative Durgaman  Gurung on 11 September 2019.
Sep 2019 : Donation contributed for kidney patient Miss Suk Maya Gurung from Nepal £500 cheque handed to her relative Mr Tekman Gurung on 11 September 2019.
Sep 2019 : Donation contributed for cancer patient Miss Melina Gurung from Nepal £850 cheque handed to her relative Mr Amber Gurung on 11 September 2019.
28 Dec 2019 – Fund raised in Lhosar cum charitable event which took place in
Aldershot. Prior to the event lessons in Welfare benefits, health and safety awareness
were taken place for the senior citizen of the organisation with the help of Lottery
Fund grant £9995.
02 Feb 2020 _ Fund raised to support late Kum Bahadur Gurung’s funeral and his
family members who passed away on 19 March 2019. We raised the total sum of
£4300 cheque handed over to his son Toyaraj Gurung.

April 2020 - Donation contributed for liver cancer patient Mrs Hira Gurung from Nepal
£2588.55 cheque handed to her relatives Mr Ghan Bahadur Gurung on 18 April
2020.

P.S : Apart from the above main fund collection events, the trustees & members of the samaj have been involving in the various charitable events organised by various organisations of the UK & have donated some amounts in all occasions.
