GORKHA ZILLA GURUNG SAMAJ UK: 2017-09-03

Gorkha Zilla Gurung Samaj UK held its 10th Annual General Meeting (AGM) cum Family Get-togather on 15th April 2017 in Kennington Community Hall, Ashford under the chairmanship of Mr Phadakjit Gurung. To commemorate our 10th Anniversary, the Chair and the founding Chair, Mr Tham Parsad Gurung,jointly cut the cake before commencing the meeting. The meeting was conducted by General Secretary, Mr BalaramGurung. The following salient points were discussed and decided during the meeting:

1. No charity dinner of any kind would be held in the future due to everyone’s busy schedule.

2. As in the past, the organisation has decided to continue publishing “Daraudi Thames” , the official magazine of the Organisation. The 4th edition will be

Gorkha Zilla Gurung Samaj UK donated emergency aids to the worst affected Village Development Committees (VDCs} of the Gorkha District. The donated amounts were distributed proportionately according to the damages caused by the massive earthquake of April 2015.
