COORDINATOR’S NOTE

Welcome to the third edition of the Daraudi Thames Magazine

I do hope everyone enjoyed the World Cup, the most entertaining football tournament in the world. Who could have predicted that five times world champion, Brazil, would be so humiliated in the quarter finals in their own home country as the World Cup host. Looking at the games, I felt Germany deserved to win and I hope you concur with me.  How quickly time flies and we have almost come to the end of the year.

As you know, we face all sorts of difficulties in
our lives; but looking at things positively helps us to surmount it and to be successful in our lives. Remember the saying, ‘A winner never quits and a quitter never wins’! We need to be focused in things we do and have the tenacity, dedication and passion to do it positively to enable us to come out with flying colours.    As they say, ‘Be calm and carry on’.

Once again, the responsibility has fallen on my shoulder to publish the third edition of ‘Daraudi Thames’, our bi-annual in-house magazine. It gives me great pleasure to be the coordinator of the magazine when you all have placed such trust and faith in me. My heartfelt thanks to all those who have helped to make this edition a possibility. Without their support, it simply would not have been possible.

As the saying goes, ‘Picture is worth a thousand words’, we have included various event photos in chronological order. We hope to include aims and achievements of our Samaj in the the future editions. Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all, ‘A Happy New Year 2015’ and a prosperous Shapri (Snake) Lhosar 2027.

Happy reading and  Jai GZGS UK.
