On behalf of  the Chair, it’s members and Trustees of GZGS UK, we would like to extend our deep gratitude to the Veterans’ Foundation UK for approving our funding application. Having  applied for a grant of £30,000 (Pounds thirty thousands) for the ‘Gurkha Veterans’ Educational Project’, we were successful in securing the grant and the Project Management Team are now ready to undertake the project.

It is essential to conduct the educational projects for the Gurkha veterans, their wives including widows who are concentrated in the counties of Hampshire, London and Kent areas to enhance and build their confidence to encourage and enable them to integrate into the wider British society through provision of English, IT lessons and other social activities.

The Project Management Team will be conducting the first educational project on 21st of November 2022 for the Kent veterans, their wives and widows,  the second educational project will be conducted in January/February 2023 in Hampshire area; and the final educational project will be conducted in March/April 2023 in London area. Finally, educational visit to places of historical interest will be organised around June/July 2023 for all the veterans and their wives.
